Let us help you beautify your
environment in 3 ways:
- Reflective Original Watercolor Paintings that make your home and work environments boost your spirit.
- Original art is the real thing and is bought to last, often as an heirloom to pass down through generations. A landscape brings you a setting to soothe and comfort. A still
life holds your gaze upon treasures lovingly displayed. A floral blooms perennially in its frame. For portraits, says Garro, "I see with the eye of the heart. I cried when I saw the face of Jean Moulin and I knew I had to paint France's greatest freedom fighter."

- Care, Maintenance, and Downsizing of your existing collection to make sure that it retains its value.
- You clean your furniture and sometimes you choose to rearrange, replace and recover certain pieces. If you have decided to move into small
quarters, you may want to put your favorite large paintings into smaller frames and mats so they will fit in better in a downsized environment. Your art collection, whether watercolor, oil, pastel, print or photography, needs periodic examination. For example, every piece of artwork framed under glass needs to be taken apart and examined for deterioration and infestation at the outside every ten years, with five years preferable. During this
process the dust covers, if any, are removed, the mats are replaced (if necessary), the glass cleaned on both sides, and new dust covers are affixed. In addition, the frames also need attention, cleaning if metal and cleaning and polishing if wood.
- One-on-One Private Art Classes" for Critique, Technique, and Attending to the Business of Being an Artist
- When you show your art, you'll likely hear "nice" from your family and friends or "good." If they really like your piece, you'll likely hear "very nice" or "very good."
- Do these comments move you forward in your art technique?
- Do these comments enable you to make positive changes to your works in progress?
- Do you really want tips, tricks, and pointers you can use for the rest of your painting life?
Artist, Barbara Garro, M.A., has openings for a small number of individual students who come to the Saratoga Springs' Studio or study from remote locations.
The sessions grow students both as artist and art entrepreneurs. "Sales and marketing is every bit as important as sketching and painting," says Garro. "People need to know who you are before they care what you are painting."
Call 518-587-9999 to discuss designing a mentoring program that will suit your needs and meet your goals in the short and long-term.
Garro, New York's Painter of Flowers, and her clients love having discovery conversations about the art they love and how best to show each piece to its best physical and spiritual advantage. Reach her without delay. You will be glad you did or she will paint for 30
minutes for you for free! |
